First, Justin Bieber told the world he plans on getting married before turning 25. Then, he went and posted a mock family portrait online that included him, his girlfriend Selena Gomez, and six -- count 'em: six! -- babies. Judging by the attached comment that read "Brangelina 2.0 hahahahahaha," it's clear the guy was only having fun. But that doesn't mean we can't wonder what the future holds in store for this 17-year-old pop sensation.
Film Star
Despite his convincing performance in Never Say Never, it remains too early to compare Bieber to Al Pacino. Why? Because the guy didn't act in his debut film, he merely lived out his day-to-day life while the cameras rolled. Not surprisingly, hoards of Biebaholics showed up to watch the documentary, helping it rake in $73 million at the box office. That number's made all the more impressive when you consider the flick has a woeful 1.4 star rating on IMDb.
Technically, the Canadian's already excelled as a film star. Question is: can he replicate that success when he actually has to act? Britney Spears gave it her best shot with Crossroads and failed miserably. Then there's Jennifer Lopez, whose film Gigli was such a train wreck, it temporarily derailed her co-star and then-boyfriend Ben Affleck's career.
We should point out that not every pop star's had such trouble making the leap to the big screen. Madonna killed it in A League of Their Own, while Jennifer Hudson won an Oscar for her role in Dreamgirls. Of course, when you consider Bieber's brief -- but now infamous -- stint on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, it's tough to put too much stock in the guy.
