The soundtrack for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 remains largely under wraps, but fans of the gloomy film franchise learned Thursday that the compilation will include a song by Bruno Mars. Strange, considering the soundtracks for Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse were dominated by indie favorites like Bon Iver and Band of Horses.
Also, Lady Gaga has wagered a war against bullying after the tragic passing of one of her little monsters, and Mick Jagger is branching into rap.
• Twilight fans can look forward to a Bruno Mars song called "It Will Rain" on the much-anticipated Breaking Dawn soundtrack. According to announcement on the pompadour-sporting pop star's official site, the song will debut on iTunes Tuesday, September 27.
Bruno could recycle the highly grating hook from Travie McCoy's "Billionaire" with lyrics like "I'ma bite you there!" and it'd still be a hit, because Twi-hards are down with shelling out cash for just about anything. But it does seem odd to include Mars on the soundtrack, as he's not exactly the type of artist favored by Hot Topic teens. Where's the Morrissey?!?
