It appears that good ol' Levi Johnston is once again peeking out from Sarah Palin's shadow to step back into the limelight. During a promotional interview with E! News for his tell-all memoir, calculatingly titled Deer in the Headlights: My Life in Sarah Palin's Crosshairs, Johnston said the hindsight that came with co-writing his biography revealed that his ex-fiancee's mother may have had the hots for him.
Apparently, this sordid idea was one that seemed obvious to Johnston's friends, as Levi recalled, "Even when I was growing up, some of my friends would say it's weird that [Palin would flirt with him]. I think she likes you." Although Johnston said he "blew it off" at the time, it wasn't until his ghostwriters declared that Palin had a "cougar crush" on him that "everything started clicking." While Johnston made sure to point out that nothing physical ever happened between him and the former Alaskan Governor, he did say that if he was a gambling man, he would bet that Palin subtly directed lusty desires his way.
The whole inappropriate, semi-incestuous revelation wasn't the only news to come out of the interview, as Levi went on to say that his baby with Palin's daughter Bristol was no accident. After watching Palin bring her son Trig into the world in 2008, Bristol caught the maternity bug and wanted to follow in her mother's footsteps. "It all happened on purpose… and I was dumb enough to roll with it," Johnston explains. "As far as having a kid, she definitely wanted one." Given the bombshells that Levi was dropping in this four-minute interview, there's no telling what else will come from Deer in the Headlights, but you can find out for yourself when the memoir hits stores next week.
